The Inner Harvest: What Has Grown in You This Year?

The Inner Harvest Intuitive Painting Workshop

Autumn is a season of harvest – a time to pause and notice the fruits of what has been growing all year.

Some things are easy to see. Others are subtle. Perhaps, the same is true for us.

Growth does not always arrive as a big transformation or a dramatic milestone. Sometimes it looks like doing something you were once afraid to do. Trusting yourself a little more. Letting go of what no longer feels right. Speaking up. Asking for help. Taking the next step without knowing exactly where it will lead.

Sometimes, you only realise you’ve grown when you pause long enough to notice.

So, what has grown in you this year?

We are constantly changing, developing and becoming.

The experiences we move through – the people we meet, the choices we make, the challenges we face and the stories we tell ourselves – all shape our inner landscape.

Yet much of this growth happens quietly.

You may feel different without being able to explain why. You may have become clearer about what you want, more aware of your boundaries, more willing to trust yourself, or simply less willing to accept what no longer feels right.

Like a harvest, some of this growth has been taking place beneath the surface. You just may not have noticed it yet.

Art as a mirror

Art can give us a different way of noticing ourselves.

When you paint intuitively, you don’t begin with a finished picture in mind. Instead, you respond to what is happening in the moment – to colour, movement, shape, texture and feeling.

You make one mark.
Then you respond to it. Then another.
Slowly, something begins to emerge.

The finished painting may become a reflection of your inner landscape – not because it provides a neat answer, but because it gives you an opportunity to experience yourself differently.

A colour may draw you in.
A shape may feel uncomfortable.
A particular movement may feel surprisingly freeing.

There may be something in the painting that is difficult to explain: a feeling, a memory, an instinct, or a part of yourself that doesn’t often get much space.

The painting becomes a mirror.

What happens when you stop trying to get it right?

So much of everyday life asks us to know what we’re doing.
To make decisions. To be productive. To get things right. To create something useful.

But there is another part of us that needs permission to explore without knowing the outcome.

The part that wants to play. To experiment. To follow curiosity. To simply see what happens.

This is one of the gifts of intuitive painting.

It creates a space where there is no right answer and no need to produce something perfect.

And in that freedom, you may begin to notice something about the way you move through life.

Do you try to control everything? Do you hesitate when you don’t know the outcome? Do you judge yourself too quickly? Do you keep going when something doesn’t look the way you imagined? Can you change direction? Can you trust yourself enough to see what happens next?

The canvas gives you a safe place to experiment.

And sometimes, that experiment becomes a mirror for life itself.

Your life is being painted, too

Every experience leaves an impression.
The conversations you have. The environments you spend time in. The people around you. The choices you make. The things you repeatedly tell yourself. The places where you feel free – and the places where you feel you have to make yourself smaller.

All of these become part of your inner landscape.

Just like intuitive painting, life unfolds one mark at a time. You don’t need to see the entire picture before you begin. You only need to be present enough to notice what comes next.

What will you carry into the next season?

Perhaps your inner harvest this year is courage. Perhaps it is self-trust. Perhaps it is stronger boundaries. Perhaps it is the ability to ask for help. Perhaps it is simply knowing yourself a little better than you did before.

Whatever it is, let yourself notice it. Let yourself appreciate it. Let yourself recognise that you have already grown.

Growth rarely happens all at once.

Sometimes, you simply keep going. You stay present. You listen a little more closely. You trust yourself a little more. And you allow yourself to discover what emerges.

Paint Your Inner Harvest

This is the inspiration behind The Inner Harvest, my September intuitive painting workshop.

Through meditation, visualisation and intuitive painting, you’ll be guided into a creative process where you don’t need to know beforehand what you’re going to paint.

You can follow your intuition, experiment with colour and movement, and give yourself permission to explore a part of yourself that everyday life doesn’t always leave much room for.

You might discover something you already knew. Or something you didn’t know you knew. Either way, the painting becomes a place to pause, notice and reconnect.

Because sometimes we need a mirror to see how far we’ve come. And sometimes, that mirror can be a painting.

Curious about how it works? Read more about what to expect at our sessions.

What has grown in you this year?

Come curious. Create freely. See what emerges.

Love, Stella
